DeBorah Lozada has been involved with the Association of Contingency Planners for three and a half years filling the Newsletter Director position in 2002, Vice President/Information Director in 2003 and Vice President 2004.
DeBorah’s career consists of 20 years in the healthcare management field with a wide variety of positions. Prior to PacifiCare, she served in nursing management positions at St.Joseph Hospital of Orange, Friendly Hills Medical Center, FHP, Inc., and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. DeBorah joined PacifiCare in October 2000 as a full-time Business Continuity Planner where she strives to meet the challenges of developing, updating and exercising the organization’s Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Emergency Operations Center Plans.
DeBorah holds a master's degree in Business Administration, Certified Business Continuity Planner and her doctorate in Business Administration.

What is the President responsible for?
The President is the principal officer of the Chapter and as such, this officer exercises the following minimum responsibilities:
- Presides at all meetings of the Chapter membership and Board.
- Exercises general supervision of the Chapter Board members, elected or appointed.
- An ex-officio member of all Chapter committees, voting only to break ties.
- Serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors meetings. The President may not Chair any other Chapter committee.
- Primary interface to other local and external organizations.
- Acts as the primary Chapter interface with ACP.
- Chapter's representative to the Presidents' Council.
- Countersigns checks presented by the Treasurer upon verification of a just and reasonable requirement for payment.
