What People Do To Make The Numbers Look Good
All of us as professionals encounter situations we wish we didn’t know about. Scandals at WorldCom, Enron, and other companies illustrate that things can appear normal from the outside, but quite the contrary can be the situation when closely examined. In case after case we see how fraud destroys jobs, careers and even families of totally innocent people who depend on the perpetrator for all or part of their livelihood. What if you are the one who personally discovers fraud or something that doesn’t seem a normal business practice? This presentation will take you on a journey behind the numbers to examine the cost components of a well-known product. Through hypothetical situations this presentation will show what could happen if the numbers looked better than the actual situation.
