Mr. Takemura has experience in numerous diverse fields and has more than 15 years of experience in Business Continuity. This experience includes Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption Planning, Testing, Information Technology Recovery Planning and Exercises, Data Security, Business Impact Analyses, Risk Assessments, Facilities Management, Property Management and Leasing, Policy & Procedures writing, as well as database and web site development. Mr. Takemura graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has regularly attended classes in real estate and property management through UCLA where he attained a Certificate in Real Estate Finance. Mr. Takemura has attended various business programs ranging from “persons with disabilities” compliance to hazardous materials law to weapons of mass destruction training. In addition, Mr. Takemura has served as the Treasurer (1996) and Secretary (1994) of the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners. He is currently an adjunct faculty instructor for the University of Phoenix (Contingency Planning & Management Program). Mr. Takemura has demonstrated his skills and abilities by facilitating numerous strategic planning and brainstorming sessions for various organizations including: Toshiba America Electronic Components, Pharmavite Corporation, Frank Russell Company, Genuity, DirecTV, LA Cellular Telephone Company (AT&T Wireless), Greater Bay Bancorp, CenFed Bank, World Vision, SAIF Corporation, Akkök Industries (Istanbul, Turkey), and Mattel, Inc. In addition, Mr. Takemura has been a guest speaker at the Year 2000 Contingency Planning for Electric Utilities workshops sponsored by Infocast, Inc. as well as programs for the Association of Contingency Planners. Mr. Takemura has a proven expertise in the Disaster Recovery arena. In 1994, Mr. Takemura managed the simultaneous restoration of six facilities of a major Southern California bank following the Northridge Earthquake. In addition, Mr. Takemura worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to develop disaster scenario based plans for regional recovery and local coordination. He has performed physical assessments for numerous client facilities, performed BIA’s and Risk Assessments, developed business continuity programs, and has written and managed numerous major simulations and exercises.
