Donna’s career in Emergency Management spans 10 years. She has worked with the Cities of Laguna Niguel and Newport Beach and currently works with the Orange County Sherriffs Department, Emergency Management Bureau. Her career experience includes managing the municipal Emergency Management Plans, responding to fire incidents as an on-scene Public Information Officer, managing public relations programs, coordinating the City Emergency Operations Centers, directing emergency exercises, managing grants, coordinating community training programs, presenting training programs, and acting as a technical writer. In her current position, Donna is charged with personnel management, Hazard Mitigation Planning, the National Incident Management System implementation, and serves as a liaison for the Emergency Management Bureau to a number of organizations. Donna’s educational background is built on a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis and a Graduate Degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPA) from the California State University, Long Beach. In the past 10 years, she has attended an extensive amount of training on a variety of subjects related to emergency management. Donna is also a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Emergency Management and served as the 2003 President of the Orange County Emergency Management Organization.
