  • Prior & Current experience architecting IT storage and business resilience solutions (SAN, NAS, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Virtualization, etc) for external customers
  • Experience working for a professional services consulting firm
  • Exceptional and current IT infrastructure architecture experience.

Position: IT Service Continuity Consultant

This is one of several positions to work with HP outsourcing clients in various industries to provide IT Service Continuity Management.  Consultants must have extensive experience in IT service continuity planning with mid-sized to large corporations, and should have a good understanding of ITIL and strong project management skills. 

 

Travel is required approximately 25%.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work with HP client outsourcing team and client to ensure successful service delivery per contract.   Includes IT continuity planning and exercise oversight, issue resolution, and related work.   As part of larger HP continuity services team, contribute to and leverage from best practices and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully deliver continuity management at assigned account(s).   This entails providing quality deliverables, client satisfaction, meeting the defined timelines, managing to scope and within the projected costs.

  • Supports practice development initiatives with procedure, product and services enhancements, including contribution to HP's Intellectual Property.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge on new processes and technologies within the business continuity profession.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT Continuity planning and program management.   
  • Conceptual skills: able to perform in-depth analysis, recognizes problems, opportunities or underlying patterns and relationships.   Is able to analyze requirements and translate them into priorities and action plans.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen and understand client needs as well as guide client and technical resources to a supportable solution.

Position: IT Continuity Consultant

Lead successful Transition of IT and business continuity service delivery for new HP IT outsourcing clients, managing to scope and timeline in support of overall Transition PM, and in collaboration with other tower peers. Based upon Transition approach being used, Assesses and/or Develops IT Continuity Program for client based upon BCRS service delivery standards.  Successfully hands off to ongoing delivery personnel who will manage the continuity program.  
As initial Continuity customer contact, establishes strong working relationship with client and manages expectations.  

 

Also may be assigned Continuity consulting projects to deliver against.

RESPONSIBILITIES
